THE FEAST OF SAN GENARO
LITTLE ITALY'S GREAT RESTAURANTS
Vol. 1, Issue: No. 11  August 27, 2001 Published by The Manhattan Club, 200 West 56th Street  New York, 10019
Every September Little Italy comes alive with the oldest, largest and liveliest annual celebration in New York City. The festival began in 1926 and is held along Mulberry Street between Canal and Houston Streets. The 2001 San Gennaro Feast takes place from September 13th through September 23rd.

The San Gennaro Feast's most popular feature is the food. The Italian sausage sandwich is a must. You can soak in the aroma of these sizzling sausages from any place in the feast and be sure to enjoy this delectable delight with tons of onions and green peppers piled atop. If anything Italian is your passion the feast is the perfect place to indulge.
Like the feast, Little Italy itself is primarily known for its amazing food.
