York City is raising the volume this summer. Music has moved
outdoors and so much of it is happening right near The Manhattan
Club. From the well established "Mostly Mozart" series to
the free, open-air "Midsummer Night Swing" dance series,
you won't want to miss the excitement at Lincoln Center.
For the month of July enthusiastic crowds converge at Lincoln
Center's Josie Robertson Plaza to participate in the country's
hottest outdoor dance party, Midsummer Night Swing. People of all
ages, beginners to experts, move their feet to a host of rhythms
provided by the world's leading dance bands and top-drawer artists.
From swing to salsa, dance instructors are on hand to teach a few
smooth moves, while many people come by just to listen to the
infectious beats. Below are a few of the events that are sure to get

MOSTLY
MOZART FESTIVAL
For over
30 years the Mostly Mozart Festival has delighted music lovers with
selections of Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Haydn, and other
classical and baroque favorites. Well known as a showcase for both
world-famous performers and promising young artists, the Festival is
especially popular for its informal, friendly atmosphere. The 2001
Festival runs July 30 - August 25. Below find a selection of events

"Austro-Hungarian Haydn Orchestra" with Conductor, Adam
Fischer; Soprano, Susan Gritton; Tenor, John Mark Ainsley; and Bass,
